Demand Studios is a content mill. It is the equivalent of a writers sweatshop. I was let go for what I was told was downsizing. However my involuntary termination was after I had a dispute with a copy editor. They continued to tell me they were not hiring when I would reapply after seeing an ad for employees. After a day of dealing with the management team I found out that my profile was flagged as not having the appropriate writing skills for the website. I have been employed for 4 years as a professional writer and have been given high marks for quality. I would have not wasted my time reapplying if I had known there were other reasons for my termination.
This company has unfair hiring and termination practices for contracting/freelance writers.
